The Regent Ghana Libraries (Learning Resource Centers)


The Regent Ghana Library is made up of 4 different campus libraries, namely City Campus Library, Trinity Campus Library, Roquah Campus Library and the Kings’ Campus Library.

The libraries have a total sitting capacity of about 200. The libraries have a stock variety of materials including books/monographs, journals, annuals, reports, pamphlets, reprints, CD-ROMs and audio-visual cassettes. To date the libraries have a total book stock of 19,108 volumes and a total of 41 journal titles. Apart from some few collections for background reading, most of the collections in the libraries are related to courses run in the university.

In addition to the printed books and journals the libraries have e-library facilities for both books and journals, 911 Audio-Visual Materials, over 8 networked databases, as well as manuscript and pictorial materials. In addition, the libraries have a total of about 20 computers, all fully equipped with internet facilities, installed in the libraries for the exclusive use of students.

The Regent Ghana Libraries through the collaboration of Biomed Central; world renowned open access publishers, have established an institutional repository that allows the university to digitally archive and showcase intellectual outputs of the university to a large and unrestricted audience worldwide.

When the University is in session the Libraries open at 8.00 a.m. and close at 9 p.m. from Mondays to Fridays. On Saturdays the Libraries open at 8.00 a.m. and close at 5.00p.m. When the regular students are on holidays the Libraries open at 8.00 a.m. and close at 5.00 p.m. from Mondays to Thursdays and on Saturdays but close at 9.00 p.m. on Fridays.
