We have taken note of the fact that the recent publication by the National Accreditation Board did not include our name in the list of accredited tertiary institutions in Ghana. Management has since contacted the Board on the issue and we have been assured that as soon as the reaccreditation process of Regent is concluded, our name will be added to the next publication, as expected.
We wish, however, to inform all interested parties that our name is still at the website of the National Accreditation Board as an accredited institution.
It has come to the notice of Management that many do not acquaint themselves with notices posted on the notice boards on the various campuses. We wish to remind both students and staff, that the notice boards exist to inform the university community about current events on and off campus as well as offer education on academic programmes, time tables, to mention but a few. It is part of the learning process to be curious about happenings around us since failure to do so may cost us heavily. We may miss crucial information, thereby affecting us negatively. Avoid the embarrassment; let it be your practice, once on campus, to spare just a minute or two to find out what is going on around you.
This is not an attempt to prescribe a dress code for students and staff. Rather, it is to remind ourselves of the responsibility we take upon ourselves as privileged members of the university community.
As rational adults, we assume leadership positions in the eyes of our siblings, friends and associates once we step into university, either as students or as workers. This is because the university, as a citadel of knowledge, exists to equip us intellectually to become change agents.
Suddenly, old friends and associates begin to see us differently; we have become potential chief executives, engineers, doctors, communicators, lawyers, marketing executives, scientists, and what-have-you.
This very high pedestal that that higher education puts us on comes with an unavoidable price called responsibility. It is the responsibility to lead by example – morally, intellectually, and professionally. We are expected to show how things are done by actually doing them. We crystallise opinions about us as others observe us over time.
In a society that is unashamedly flirting with immorality and indecency, we owe ourselves and our generation the responsibility of standing out as transformational leaders. If what we see has a way of informing how we think, then one way we can influence people around us is by infusing some modesty into our way of dressing. Let us show some love for our precious ‘jewels’ – those parts of our bodies that are so precious and private to us – by covering them in public.
Oh! Yes. We can appear beautiful and smart without having to expose more than we have to or should. We would not expose ourselves to ridicule. Talking about followings trends reminds me about this guy who watched one film too many and thought he could win a girl’s love by occasionally squinting at her. One day he decided to look at himself in the mirror and cursed whoever sold him the idea that he could win a girl by squinting at her.
By the way, has it ever occurred to you that, given the choice, most people would prefer decent and knowledgeable partners with a bright future, to indecent and morally weak ones who are likely to become social burdens they must cope with in future?

It has come to the notice of Management of this University that a so-called Helen Fowler, purporting to be the manager of an Enquiry Unit of the University located in Accra, is offering places in the university to prospective students to pursue various programmes.
We wish to inform the general public and all prospective students of Regent University College of Science and Technology that the said Helen Fowler is an imposter and a fraudster.
The general public is also informed that admission forms can only be accessed from the University’s official website, www.regentghana.net, or directly from its City Campus located on Graphic Road, and Trinity Campus, located near Flamingo, Mataheko – all in Accra.
Applicants or parents who deal with persons not certified by the University, either in Ghana or elsewhere, on issues relating to admissions to the university, do so at their own risk.

Management has observed that visitors are getting access to certain restricted areas of the University because of laxity in the enforcement of identification procedures.
All members of the Regent University Community are therefore being reminded that WEARING OF UNIVERSITY ID CARDS IS MANDATORY if one wants to have access to the University's facilities.
Visitors are to be directed to report first at the Reception/Security check point for visitor’s cards to allow them access beyond the Reception area.
The security personnel have been directed to bar anyone who refuses to comply with the above procedures.
These measures are to keep at bay:
All staff and third party contractors who do not have ID cards are advised to contact Francis Agbewali at the City Campus to arrange for IDs for them.
The co-operation of all is solicited.
