Regent-Ghana’s AMBA Accredited MBA: A Partnership with MSM
An agreement between Maastricht School of Management (MSM) and Regent University College of Science & Technology (RUCST) for the MBA to take off will be signed in December, 2007.

This event will be memorable as our students will have the first and only AMBA (Association of Master of Business Administration) accredited MBA certificates in Ghana. Thus, this prestigious international certificate will give our students a massive competitive advantage over their other MBA colleagues – both locally and internationally. 

To celebrate this event and good news, Regent-Ghana is inviting its esteemed would-be students to a cocktail party on 13th December 2007 at 6:00pm at the King’s Campus to meet with The Managing Director of MSM, The President of Regent-Ghana, MSM alumni, and leaders of renowned financial institutions and some members of the Regent-Ghana community.

Software development project Coca Cola
The Computer Science Dept. has under taken a software development project with the world-famous Coca Cola company.  The Dept. is developing a very unique software for the maintenance department. Such software is quite rare and not commercially available.
The team working on the project comprises:

  • Mr. Bernard Otinpong
  • Mr.Chris Quist
  • Mr.Kenneth Azumah

It is likely to be handed over to Coca Cola Company in the month of December 2007. This will be followed by staff training on the proper usage of the software.

Regent-Ghana is on the Science Frontiers at Uniiq FM
Uniiq FM, which is an integral part of the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation, has invited Regent University to participate in their popular programme called, ‘Science & Technology”. Regent-Ghana will manage the segment on ‘Science Frontiers”.
It is a 50-minute air-time on all Fridays from 12.10 noon to 1.00pm. The following topics have been aired already:

  • Prof.M.J.Kumardoss—“Fourth Dimension in the Internet-the Electronic Nose”
  • Dr.Yaw Akraku-Yirankyi—“LASER activated Lightning protection”

Mr. Bernard Otinpong,  Dr.Joe Asamoah and Mr. Anthony Angmor will also participate in the near future.

Networking Project at Cocoa Research Institute, Tafo (E/R)
The Regent University College of Science and Technology has been invited by the Cocoa Research Institute to their campus at Tafo. It is a huge and a challenging work. It has to be done in three phases.

  1. Connecting Administration block, Laboratories, Stores and Guest houses through optic-fibre cable
  2. Internet connection(Wi-Fi) to remote guest houses and other campuses
  3. Internet connection to Housing colony etc

The submission of quotation is underway and a presentation to the Director and other senior officials is in the pipeline.

Mr. Ebenezer Pepprah and Mr. Anthony Angmor are the key officers from Regent University directly involved in the designing of the project. Others are Mr. Paul Aggroh and Mr.Eli Kofi.

The Cocoa Research Institute was founded in 1973 to conduct pioneering research in the cultivation and maintenance of Cocoa plantation. Later on the Institute encouraged cashew nut plantation and banana plantation as well. After 1995, the Institute began to develop a number of products, using cocoa seeds and leaves and roots. Some of those products are: Cocoa drinks, Cocoa beverages, Chocolates, beauty cream, bathing soap and Cocoa paste etc. All these products are commercially produced at the Tema Industrial sector, under license from CRIG and also in other places.
