			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-110" title="prof1" src="/voice/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/prof11.jpg" alt="prof1" width="200" height="269" />The President and CEO, Prof. E. Kingsley Kwabena Larbi, will proceed on leave from October 19, 2009 to November 14, 2009. During his leave, which he will spend in the USA, he will  pay official visits to sister institutions to finalize Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with the institutions.</p>
<p>The President will hold a meeting with Dalton State College, Georgia, USA, on an MOU to run the following degree programmes;</p>
<p>- Associate of Science/Bachelor of Science in Nursing</p>
<p>- Medical Clinical Assistant</p>
<p>- Medical Radiologic Technology/Science-Radiation Therapist</p>
<p>- Surgical Technology Technologist</p>
<p>- Electrical/Electronics Equipment Installation and Repair</p>
<p>- Emergency Medical Technology/Technician (EMT Paramedic)</p>
<p>The MOU will also cover students&#8217; exchange programmes and collaboration in research.</p>
<p>Dalton State College is one of the eight colleges in the University System of Georgia. It is also one of four University Systems unit with the Technical Division supervised by the separate Technical College System of Georgia. The College was founded in 1963 and opened in September 1967. It offers certificate, associate degree and degree programmes.</p>
<p>It has about four thousand five hundred students (4, 500) from over 39 countries. The University has served more than 90,000 students and has 300 faculty and staff. The College has recently donated some books on various disciplines to Regent University.</p>
<p>The President will also visit Southern Polytechnic State University in Georgia to finalise an MOU that will enable the two universities to jointly run postgraduate level courses in Computer Science and other related disciplines. The collaboration will later cover other areas.</p>
<p>The Chairman of the Regent  University Council, Prof. Nsowah Nuamah will act in the absence of the President &amp; CEO.</p>
<p>Regent Ghana wishes the President a wonderful leave time and success in all his endeavors.</p>
