Work on the Main and Future Campuses Begin Soon
The Main Campus
In accordance with the Regent University College Ten Year Plan, work will soon begin on the 5.8 acre land acquired at McCarthy Hill for the main campus of Regent University. There is already a building on the sight which is suitable for administrative use. The campus will have lecture halls, Library, staff accommodation, a sick bay, a market to meet the community’s needs, a chapel building and hostel facilities. The Regent Nursing School will be housed at the McCarthy Hill campus. There will be a crèche and a nursery for mothers to be able to have a place to keep their children whilst they study. When the campus is ready for use, some of the existing campuses will be closed down to allow concentration of activities on the permanent campus.
The Future Campus
Plans are underway to acquire a land of several acres (at least 500) outside Accra for the future campus of Regent University. The campus will be bigger than the campus at McCarthy Hill. There are some projects that Regent University has to start with other partners which will need a very big space. For instance, Regent University will soon start a technical training centre with an Indonesian based educational institution and this programme, which needs a technology park, classrooms, a factory, among others, will be housed on the future campus. The Regent Medical School will also be located on the future campus. The campus will have a clinic, hostel facilities, staff accommodation, a pre tertiary educational facility, a big Library, the Regent Memorial Park, a bank and other important facilities that will make it a complete community on its own.
Members of the Regent community are implored to pray for the projects ahead. Any financial and logistics support will be very much appreciated.
